THE AIM METHOD DOES WORK!

Thousands of handicapped individuals have had their lives changed and improved through AIM. And most importantly, here are a few of their success stories using the AIM Method….

Christa Sprinkle, Special Education Teacher, “We are very fortunate to have AIM as one of our weekly activities. It is a great advantage to my five severely to moderately physically and mentally handicapped students. This program enforces verbal directions, imitating movements, and turn taking. It teaches body awareness, moving to a rhythm, and attending skills. Beyond these obvious benefits, AIM is an ideal venue to promote language development and pre-academic math skills. Most of all, it is fun! When an activity is enjoyable, learning is incidental and easy.”

Melissa Sweeney, Special Education Teacher, “The benefits of AIM are numerous. Skills that are taught in our classroom are reinforced during AIM time. Body parts, spatial awareness, eye-hand coordination, fine and gross motor activities and increasing attention span are all worked on in a fun way that the children enjoy.”

Lorie Flohre, Activity Director, Nursing Home…”Our residents look forward to our weekly sessions and will often come to the activity room on their own. This is rarely the case with other exercise programs.. After our sessions, they often feel as though they have had a full body workout and complain less of aching in their joints. Often times they will start laughing at each other or themselves. Thank you AIM.”

Lynn & Kyra
Melissa Flaim, United Rehabilitation Services,…We have found that Adventures in Movement stimulates the children’s large and fine motor skills and their cognitive abilities. The activities promote social interaction with one another. These developmental skills are learned through the various exercises, singing and other musical venues.”
